Shirley P Fesig, age 92, of Valley View, passed away Monday, July 5, 2021 at Providence Place, Pine Grove.

She was born on Sunday, August 12, 1928, in Valley View, a daughter of the late Homer C Matter and the late Iva E (Schade) Matter.

She was a graduate of the former Hegins Twp High School.

Shirley was a seamstress in area garment factories prior to her retirement.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Valley View.

Shirley enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family.

Her husband Eugene G Fesig, to whom she was marred for 70 years, passed away on Feb 24, 2021. She was also preceded in death by her parents; by three sisters, Thelma Matter, Arlene Savidge, and Elva Kocher, and by two brothers, Paul Matter and Warren Matter.

She is survived by a daughter, Karen L Schwalm and her husband Daniel of Valley View; two grandsons, Matthew D Schwalm and his wife Ashley of Dillsburg and Adam M Schwalm and his wife Tabitha of Valley View; two great grandsons, Jacob Schwalm and Jeremiah Schwalm both of Valley View; four great granddaughters, Kelly Schwalm of Valley View, Naomi Schwalm of Dillsburg, Josie Schwalm of Dillsburg, and Eliana Schwalm of Dillsburg; and several nieces and nephews.

Private services were held at Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View.

Burial was made in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Valley View.
