Rebecca V. Schwalm
Rebecca V. Schwalm , age 91, of Valley View, passed away Monday, May 15, 2017 at Lehigh Valley Hospital - E Norwegian, Pottsville.
She was born on Monday, July 6, 1925, in Valley View, PA, a daughter of the late Edward and Sallie (Hoffman) Conrad.
She was a graduate of the former Hegins Township High School and was employed as a seamstress for various garment factories in the area.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Valley View and enjoyed puzzles, adult coloring books, crafts and crocheting.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jacob Schwalm, one son, Terry Schwalm, four brothers, Lester Conrad, Walter Conrad, Henry Conrad, and Robert Conrad, and five sisters, Katie Fuller, Gertrude Mayer, Annie Lillie, Lillian Herb, and Phyllis Kemble.
She is also survived by two sons, Thomas and his wife Debbie Schwalm of Valley View, PA, Steve Schwalm of Valley View, PA; 8 grandchildren, Jennifer Basom, Ross Schwalm, David Schwalm, Katrina Economy, Jill Miller, Dustin Rickert, CJ Lupole, and Sean Lupole; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Services were held at Trinity Lutheran Church, Valley View, on Saturday, May 20, 2017, at 2:00 pm, with Rev. Brian Beissel officiating.
A viewing was held from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm on Saturday at Trinity Lutheran Church.
Burial was made in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Valley View.
