Obituary
Ray C. Kehler, age 84, Hegins, passed away Monday, January 9, 2023 at his residence.
He was born on Wednesday, November 30, 1938, in Beurys Grove, a son of the late Cleaton L Kehler and the late Gertrude E (Hornberger) Kehler.
He was a 1956 graduate of Tri-Valley High School and a graduate of New York Culinary School, Brooklyn NY.
Ray was the executive chef at the former Treadway Inn, Lebanon, until his retirement.
He was a member of Calvary Chapel, Valley View.
Ray enjoyed cooking, ceramics, and loved to spend time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents; by two sisters, Esther G Baum and Betty G Geiser, and a brother, Wesley T Kehler.
He is survived by a sister, Carol A Hoy of Valley View; a brother, Junior C Kehler of Kulpmont; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Inc, Valley View, on Monday, January 16, 2023, at 11:00 am, with Rev Jonathan Hikes officiating.
Visitation was held from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Monday at the funeral home.
Burial was in Zion Cemetery, Pitman.
