Paul L "Butch" Kieffer, age 73, of Klingerstown, passed away Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
He was born on Thursday, December 18, 1947, in Jersey Shore, PA.
He was a graduate of Tri-Valley High School.
He served in the US Army.
Butch was a heavy equipment operator at Lindenmuth Saw Mill, Lavelle and also a self employed gunsmith.
He was a member of Friedens United Church of Christ, Hegins.
He was also a member of American Legion Post 575 and VFW Post 8237 both of Valley View.
Butch enjoyed chain saw carving, motorcycle riding, hunting, trapping, raising deer and bear, and spending time with his family. He was also very proud of his Native American heritage.
His first wife, Ruth N (Wedde) Kieffer passed away in 2012. He was also preceded in death by his parents; by a son, Paul L Kieffer, Jr; and a daughter, Lori Ann Kieffer.
He is survived by his wife Susan L (Mitchell) Kieffer.
He is also survived by a step son, Tyler Heim; and a step daughter, Marian Heim.
The procession will leave Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View, at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, December 30, 2020, with graveside services following at Friedens Cemetery, Hegins.
