Obituary
Norene M Zerbe, age 95, formerly of Valley View, passed away Monday, February 7, 2022 at The Gardens at York Terrace, Pottsville.
She was born on Sunday, February 14, 1926, in Pitman, a daughter of the late George Specht and the late Florence (Gahres) Specht.
She was a 1943 graduate of the former Hegins Twp High School.
Norene was a seamstress in area garment factories, prior to her retirement.
She was a member of St. Andrew's United Methodist Church, Valley View.
She was also a member of International Ladies Garment Workers Union.
He husband Philip F Zerbe passed away in 2015. She was also preceded in death by her parents; by a brother, Franklin Specht, and a nephew, Carl Specht.
She is also survived by a son, James P Zerbe and his wife Elaine of Valley View; a nephew, David Specht of Pitman; and a niece Patty Feger of Pitman.
Funeral services were held at the Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View, on Monday, February 14, 2022, at 11:00 am, with Rev. Suzanne Elliott officiating.
A viewing was held from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Monday at the funeral home.
Private burial will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
