Nancy E. Harner's Obituary
Nancy E Harner, age 86, of Barry Twp, passed away Friday, February 19, 2021 at Providence Place, Pottsville.
She was born on Wednesday, January 30, 1935, in Minersville, a daughter of the late George R Berner and the late Loretta (Shadel) Berner.
She was a graduate of the former Cass Township High School.
She was a member of Barry Salem United Methodist Church, Weishample.
Nancy enjoyed gardening and bird watching. She was also very active in her church and her community.
Her husband, Charles M Harner, passed away in 1989. She was also preceded in death by her parents and by eleven siblings.
She is survived by a daughter, Michelle L Harner of Douglassville; three sisters, Ruth Berner of Minersville, Joan Berner of Minersville, and Betty Anderson of San Antonio, TX; a brother, Richard Berner of Minersville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at Barry Salem United Methodist Church, Weishample, on Wednesday, February 24, 2021, at 11:00 am, with Rev. Benjamin Scholl officiating.
A viewing was held from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Wednesday at the church.
Burial was made in Salem Cemetery, Weishample.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 3544 N Progress Ave. Suite 205, Harrisburg, PA 17110.
Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View, was in charge of arrangements.
