Obituary

Marlin R. Wedde, age 88, formerly of Hegins and Camp Hill, passed away Saturday, April 15, 2017 at the home of his daughter in Dillsburg.

He was born on Wednesday, June 6, 1928, in Barry Twp, a son of the late Harold J Wedde and the late Alma Beury Wedde.

He was a 1946 graduate of the former Hegins Twp High School.

He was the owner of Wedde and Sons Builders, and then moved to the west coast where he was a financial advisor for Mutual of New York, until his retirement.

He was a member of the Christian Life Assembly, Camp Hill.

Marlin was a member of his church choir, a stage builder, and active in performances at his church. He also performed in the Lykens Minstrels.

Following hurricane Katrina he volunteered his time in construction for those affected.

Marlin loved to sing and enjoyed the outdoors.

He was preceded in death by his parents and by his first wife, Freda Shadle Wedde; his second wife, Lois L Wedde; a brother, Alton Wedde; and a sister, Elva Bowman.

He is survived by a son, Bryan Wedde of Landrum, SC; two daughters, Carol H Green of Dillsburg and Brenda Gray of Huntsville, TX; nine grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; a niece and four nephews.

Services will be private.

Burial will be made in St. John's "Kimmel's" Cemetery, Barry Twp.

Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View, is in charge of arrangements.
