M. Jean Fronk, age 96, of 417 W Main Street, Valley View, passed away Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at the Schuylkill Medical Center- E Norwegian, Pottsville.

She was born on Thursday, December 20, 1917, in Valley View, a daughter of the late John H Laudenslager and the late Mary Schwalm Laudenslager.

She was a graduate of the former Hegins Twp High School and the Reading School of Cosmetology.

She was a self employed beautician and also had worked at the Tri-Valley High School.

She was a member of St. Andrew's United Methodist Church, Valley View; where she was also a member of the Ladies Bible Class.

Jean was an award winning and celebrated cross-stitcher. Her greatest joy in life was her family and extended family.

Her husband George W Fronk passed away in 2010. She was also preceded in death by a son James W Fronk; by three sisters Leonore Lebo, Marie Liebert, and Dora Bair; and by a brother Herman Laudenslager.

She is survived by a son John L Fronk and his wife Elizabeth of Millersburg; by three daughters Ann L Schiliro and her husband Peter of Valley View, Janice M Hodge and her husband Gary of Camarillo, CA, and Jean M Herb and her husband Jack of Hegins; eleven grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; a great great grandson; a daughter in law, Diane Fronk of Orlando, FL; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held at St. Andrew's United Methodist Church, Valley View, on Saturday, June 21, 2014, at 11:00 am, with Rev. Duane Bardo officiating.

A viewing was held from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Saturday at the church.

Burial was made in St. Andrew's Cemetery, Valley View.
