Larry C Harman, age 80, of The Manor at Susquehanna Village, Millersburg, formerly of Valley View, passed away Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at the Harrisburg Hospital.

He was born on Tuesday, April 9, 1935, in Valley View, a son of the late Clair E Harman and the late Carrie E Morgan Harman.

He was a self employed coal miner and contractor, prior to his retirement.

Larry was a charter member of the Tri-Valley Bucktree Archery Course.

His wife Rosemary F Gunley Harman passed away in 2007. He was also preceded in death by his parents and by a brother John Harman.

He is survived by a daughter Jean A Kissinger of Lykens; by three sons, Gerald D Harman and Mark J Harman both of Hegins, and Landis C Harman of Tower City; a brother, James Harman of Fearnot; a sister, Carol Helfinstein of Herndon; eleven grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held at the Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View, on Saturday, January 2, 2016, at 11:00 am, with Rev. Duane Bardo officiating.

A viewing was held from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Saturday at the funeral home.

Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
