Jane C. Hoffman
Jane C. Hoffman , age 86, formerly of Valley View, PA passed away Monday, March 23, 2015 at the Thornwald Home of Carlisle where she had been residing since 2008.
Born on November 10, 1928, in Valley View, to the late Harry and Jennie (Shadle) Hoffman. She was preceded in death by sisters, Mae, Sara, Hilda and Mary and brothers, James, Roy, Albert, Russell and Ted. Surviving are 15 nieces and nephews.
A retired teacher, she was employed for 25 years by the Camp Hill School District. She graduated from the West Chester State Teachers College and received her Masters Degree from Shippensburg University.
A lifetime member of the Pennsylvania Association of Retired Teachers. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, Valley View where she and her family were actively involved over many years.
Services will be held at Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View, on Saturday, March 28, 2015, at 10:00 am, with Rev. Brian Beissel officiating.
There will be no viewing or visitation.
Burial will be made in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Valley View.
Memorial contributions can be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, P.O. Box 153, Valley View, PA 17983.
