Irene Mae Erdman's Obituary
Irene Mae Erdman , age 99, of 201 Gap Street, Valley View, passed away Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at her home.
She was born on Tuesday, May 1, 1917, in Hegins Twp, PA, a daughter of the late Frederick E Schwalm and Clara Mae Schwalm.
She was a 1936 graduate of the former Hegins Twp High School .
She had worked at the former Amy Sportswear, Valley View .
She was a member of St. Andrew's United Methodist Church, Valley View and also a former member of the Tri-Valley Senior Citizens.
She was preceded in death by her husband Elwood E. Erdman and a son, Colin E Erdman, a daughter-in-law Patricia Erdman; and two brothers Albert and Warren Schwalm.
She is survived by one son, Elwood E Erdman of Hegins; two daughters, Alice M. Deitrich of Meriden, CT and Susan P. Runkle of Spring Glen; ten grandchildren; ten great grandchildren and a sister Bernice Romberger.
Visitation was held Wednesday, June 22, 2016 from 10-11 AM at St. Andrew's United Methodist Church, Valley View, with the Memorial Service following at 11:00 AM with Rev. Duane Bardo officiating. Interment was made in St. Andrew's Cemetery.
The family will provide flowers and in lieu of flowers Memorial contributions can be made to Hegins Area Ambulance Association P.O. Box 678 Valley View, PA 17983 or to St. Andrew's United Methodist Church P.O. Box 221 Valley View, PA 17983
