Obituary
Gene M Hatter, age 91, of Hegins, passed away Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at her residence.
She was born on Thursday, October 23, 1924, in Donaldson, a daughter of the late Arthur W Hatter and the late Fronie G Miller Hatter.
She was a graduate of the former Fraily Twp High School.
She was a member of Christ United Church of Christ, Fountain.
Gene enjoyed baking, cooking, crossword puzzles, and spending time with her family.
Her husband Leonard H Hatter passed away in 1989. She was also preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Lamar Hatter and Blythe Hatter; and by two sisters, Grace Rosenbluth and Helen Hatter.
She is survived by a son, Leonard H Hatter, II and his wife Carol of Hegins; two grandsons, Marc L Hatter of Harrisburg and Joshua P Mayer of Hegins; a granddaughter, Renee L Heim and her husband Rahn of Paxtonville; a great granddaughter, Alexis A Heim of Paxtonville; a great grandson, Rodney R Heim of Paxtonville; a niece, Mary Jean Rosenbluth of Florida; a great niece, Rachel Maldonado and her husband Angel, Sr of Silver Spring, MD; a great nephew, Christopher Pyles of Everett; and three great great nephews Angel, Jr, Harley A, Ryder A, and Cruz A Moldonado all of Silver Spring MD.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View, is in charge of arrangements.
