Frank E Filosa, age 78, of Fearnot Road, Sacramento, passed away Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at the Tremont Health and Rehabilitation Center, Tremont.
He was born on Sunday, October 3, 1937, in Brooklyn, NY, a son of the late Albert Filosa and the late Catherine Lampen Filosa.
He served in the Air National Guard.
Frank was the owner of the former Hegins Cafe. He was singer in several country music bands. Frank was a loving grandfather to his grandchildren.
He was a truck driver for Sterman Masser Inc, prior to his retirement.
His wife Rose E Pavilonis Filosa passed away in 2012.
He is survived by two sons, Frank E Filosa, II and his wife Lisa of Williamstown, and Robert J Filosa of Sacramento; three granddaughters, Emily Filosa of Williamstown, Kaylyn Filosa and Kassidy Filosa both of Sacramento; two grandsons, Nicholas Filosa of Williamstown, Kent Filosa of Sacramento; two brothers, Patrick Filosa of Staten Island, NY, and Albert Filosa of Brooklyn, NY; a sister, Gilda Filosa of Florida; and several nieces and nephews.
Services were held at the Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View, on Tuesday, February 2, 2016, at 11:00 am, with Rev. Curtis Zemencik officiating.
Visitation was held from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Tuesday at the funeral home.
