Obituary
Dorothy A Schucker, age 87, of Hegins, passed away Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at the Tremont Health and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born on Tuesday, August 29, 1933, in Reinerton, a daughter of the late Howard and Mary Buffington.
Dorothy was a seamstress in area garment factories prior to her retirement.
She was a member of St. John's United Methodist Church, Hegins.
Her husband Robert L Schucker passed away in 2008. She was also preceded in death by her parents; by two brothers, Joe and Charles Buffington; and by two sisters, Sara Klouser and Ann.
She is survived by two sons, Larry M Schucker and his companion Alice Bushong of Williamstown, and Lee R Schucker and his wife Alice of Hegins; a daughter, Linda S Hughes and her husband Harold of Chambersburg; three grandsons, Jeremy Schucker of Pine Grove, Nate Hand and his wife Rebecca of California, and Mike Erdman of Somerset; two granddaughters, Alicia Emerich and her husband Ryan of Leesport, and Ashley Schucker of Myerstown; seven great grandchildren; a sister, June Hall of Naples, FL; and several nieces and nephews.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
Burial will be made in St. John's Cemetery, Hegins.
Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View, is in charge of arrangements.
