Obituary
David Blickley ,age 65, of Joliett passed away Sunday, August 13, 2017 at his home.
He was born on Thursday, June 12, 1952, in Chester, PA, a son of Helen (Zanini) Blickley of Pine Grove and the late Samuel John Blickley.
He was self employed as a mechanic until becoming ill.
He was an avid racer and still holds the record for the most wins at Big Diamond Speedway in the street car class.
He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Brian Blickley.
He is also survived by three daughters, Melissa Mcnitsky and her husband Jason of Pine Grove, Samantha Howerton of Tremont and Christine Blickley of St. Clair; two sisters, Bonita Wolfgang and her husband Keith of Tremont, and Mechelle Becker and her husband Scott of Pine Grove; three brothers, John Blickley and his wife Lucy of Schuylkill Haven, Larry Blickley and his wife Betty of Drexel Hill and Tony Zanini and his wife Barb of FL; 10 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
Memorial contributions can be made to the family c/o the funeral home to help defer funeral expenses.
Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View, is in charge of arrangements.
