Chester L Schwartz, age 86, of Hegins, passed away Friday, December 3, 2021 at his residence.

He was born on Thursday, September 12, 1935, in Hegins, a son of the late William Schwartz and the late Goldie (Kimmel) Schwartz.

Chester was a lifelong self employed farmer.

He was a member of Friedens United Church of Christ, Hegins.

Chester enjoyed hunting and spending time with his family.

His wife, Isabel M (Miller) Schwartz, passed away in 1998.

He is survived by a son, Jeffrey Schwartz and his wife Tammy of Hegins; a daughter, Jennifer Bordner and her companion Wayne Shade of Hegins; five grandchildren; four great grandchildren; three brothers, Theodore Schwartz, Franklin Schwartz, and David Schwartz all of Hegins; two sisters, Patsy Moyer of Millersburg and Gloria Kroh of Hegins; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at the Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View, on Tuesday, December 7, 2021, at 11:00 am, with Rev. Michael C Klahr officiating.

A viewing will be held from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Tuesday at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Friedens Cemetery, Hegins.
