Obituary
Betty M Blyler, age 94, formerly of Hegins, passed away Saturday, December 15, 2018 at the Tremont Health and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born on Monday, May 26, 1924, in Klingerstown, a daughter of the late Harry A Wehry and the late Daisy H Stiely Wehry.
She was a 1942 graduate of the former Hegins Twp High School.
Betty was a member of Friedens United Church of Christ, Hegins.
Her husband Joseph S Blyler, Sr passed away in 2003. She was also preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Nancy L Blyler Thornton; and a brother William Wehry.
She is survived by a son, Joseph S. Blyler, Jr. and his wife Lori of Valley View; son in law Tom Thornton of St.Paul MN; five grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at the Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View, on Sunday, December 23, 2018, at 3:00 pm, with Rev. John Wallace officiating.
Visitation was from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm on Sunday at the funeral home.
Burial was made in Church of God Cemetery, Valley View.
