Bette E Bowman, age 90, of Valley View, passed away Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at Lehigh Valley Hospital- Cedar Crest, Allentown.

She was born on Tuesday, September 6, 1927, in Hegins, a daughter of the late Leroy Shuey and the late Irene Shade Shuey.

She was a 1945 graduate of the former Hegins Twp High School.

Bette was the owner the former Carole Shop Dress Shop of Valley View.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Valley View.

She was also a member of Tri-Valley Senior Citizens.

Her husband, Fred J. "Fritz" Bowman passed away in 2017. She was also preceded in death by her parents; by a beloved aunt who raised her, Regina "Chine" Morgan; a sister, Rita Wagner; and a brother, Charles Shuey.

She is survived by two daughters, Linda B Adams and her husband Forrest of Mechanicsburg and Gail E Pearson and her husband Robert of Mullica Hill, NJ; two sons, James A Bowman and his wife Deborah of Hamburg and Dan M Bowman and his wife Debra of Valley View; eight grandchildren; and twelve great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at Trinity Lutheran Church, Valley View, on Saturday, March 10, 2018, at 11:00 am, with Rev. Brian Beissel officiating.

Visitation was held from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Saturday at the church.

Burial was made in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Valley View.
