Obituary

Anna Mae Koppenhaver, age 88, of Hegins, passed away Sunday, December 28, 2014 at Providence Place, Pine Grove.

She was born on Saturday, January 9, 1926, in Hegins, a daughter of the late Joseph and Maude M Deibert Ebert.

She was a 1943 graduate of the former Hegins Twp High School.

She had worked for the former Hegins Mfg, Elsie's Gift Shop, and Masser's Grocery Store, prior to her retirement.

She was a member of Friedens Lutheran Church, Hegins.

She was also a former member of the Tri-Valley Senior Citizens.

Anna Mae enjoyed jigsaw puzzles and walking.

Her husband, Leon L Koppenhaver, passed away in 2013. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Verna Maurer and Helen Wagner; and by a brother, Lester Ebert.

She is survived by daughter, Patricia A Mace and her husband Dennis of Hegins; a grandson, Brian Mace of Coal Valley, IL; two granddaughters, Paula Davis and her husband Brandon of Spring Glen, and Tonya Gochenauer and her husband James of Middletown; a great grandson, Blake Davis of Spring Glen; two great granddaughters, Breanna Davis of Spring Glen and Zoe Gochenauer of Middletown; a brother, Joseph Ebert of Bowmanstown; and several nieces and nephews.

Services were held at the Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View, on Friday, January 2, 2015, at 11:00 am, with Rev. Warren Egebo officiating.

Visitation was held from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Friday at the funeral home.

Burial was made in Friedens Cemetery, Hegins.
